more weird christian websites

If you were to do a search on google for the words christian+chicken+yellow (as I did) you would be ushered to a great site, which many people may not be aware of. Of course, I am talking about the christian chefs fellowship. The christian chefs fellowship is

An international network of Christian cooks and chefs fellowshipping together for the purpose of encouraging and helping members grow closer to Jesus and to each other so that we may greater glorify God in all that we do and say.

The site provides devotions on various topics, including prayer in the kitchen, designed to address the subject of staying close to God and keeping your faith in spite of all the temptations our industry offers. I am trying to think of a sentence that sums up my feelings about this site. But I am without speech. Are we going to have a network of christian garbage collectors now? (I actually did a search for this and couldn’t find one). What about the christian refridgerator repairers, or the christian unemployed people or the christian gaol wardens? I think everyone should start a group for christian members of their profession - after all, it is the christian thing to do.

Have you been in some commercial kitchens Dan. They could sure use a dose of niceness of one form or another.

Great point Dan, it is possible to be religious without being ridiculous. What temptations are there in the kitchen??? seriously!! I must not envy my dishwasher, i must not lust after the food i am cooking….. get real people. If you feel the need to pray in the kitchen maybe you need to either assess the way you live your life and become a better person “And do not lead us into temptation… HELP! Please, Lord, we need Your help” I know i personally don’t need his help not to sin!! , or just get a life. Dependence is for the weak “Through prayer, we publicly acknowledge our dependence on God” try finding strength in yourself and your christian friends. “But deliver us from the evil one”, what the?? ….oh my god the carrots are whispering evil things!!! and the pasta is worshiping satan!!

Religion can be a wonderful thing to believe in and find strength in and through our christian friends we can find support and love, but you should also learn to love yourself and you shouldn’t feel that you need to pray to god all the time. God would want you to be independant and find strength in yourself also and i think he would want you to concentrate on your work and enjoy it, not feel that you need to pray to him all the time. If you feel that your environment needs “a dose of niceness” as chris said then maybe you should make an effort to put some positive energy into the environment, praying is not going to change your work mates, but through kindness and a positive outlook you may be able to. And don’t forget forgiveness, people can do and say things that are unpleasant, try forgiving them and moving on, trying to forge a rewarding relationship. This may take a bit of hard work, persevere!!

Remember all gods lessons, not just those of prayer.
