A right to an opinion

Tuesday, March 25th, 2003

This morning it seems that the papers are more interested in talking about the Oscars as they relate to the war rather than the war itself. Mike Moore in his acceptance speech for his Oscar for best documentary said in part:
we live in fictitious times. We live in the time where we have fictitious […]

A blog message for President Bush

Monday, March 24th, 2003

Mr President, I have just watched you on Sky news from my Australian home. You spoke about how those that mistreat the American prisoners of war would be tried as war criminals. I share your fear and agree with you in your threat but surely this must force you to evaluate other decisions that you […]

Christians in Iraq

Monday, March 24th, 2003

I recently had a conversation with a minister who serves a Church that is in the same local area as ours. I asked him what the feeling about the war with Iraq was at his Church. He told me that the event that had the biggest impact on his Church was when one of the […]

In the spirit of my post yesterday about Leunig’s plain black box, I really like daniel’s journey today.

I had a dream

Friday, March 21st, 2003

Last night I had a dream. I wish it was one of those cool poeticy Old Testament dreams, but I guess I have to take what I can get. It was a dream about an evil spirit (I kid you not - for those who know me this is especially bizarre). Sometimes my […]

a black box

Thursday, March 20th, 2003

Michael Leunig an Australian poet and cartoonist has published his cartoon in today’s Age - it is a black box - no humour, no prophetic comments, no snide remarks about the PM and George Bush, no scathing attacks on the logic behind it - just a black box.
For now, in this day, there is nothing […]

blogrolling rolling rolling

Thursday, March 20th, 2003

When Phil and I began this blog we said that we would only blogroll people that we have actually been reading regularly (with the exception of arguing with signposts, which I added the first time I knew about it and who simply must appear on the blogroll by virtue of the title of his blog […]
