I will really try to make this the last post on this issue for a little while, but I couldn’t resist this article, which reports that the Sydney Anglican diocese yesterday expanded its list of banned clergy to include those that have pre-marital sex and failed to repent and celibate homosexuals. However, polygamists are still permitted.
Asked whether polygamists were acceptable to the Sydney diocese, Dr Davies said while it was far from ideal, it was tolerable to have a minister with more than one wife.
“The Bible doesn’t condemn polygamy like it does homosexuality”.
Good point. Another compelling argument to add to this debate. Seriously guys, I might disagree with you on this point, but you are making things too easy. Stop making such stupid statements. Say things quietly to yourself in your head first.

Polygamy permitted??? Geez, I may even switch to being an Anglican priest.

That is an interesting point, Richard. Maybe church is God’s equivalent of good television - laugh! cry! cringe!
