Friday, October 31st, 2003

I consider myself relatively well-read, so I am a little depressed by my results when I consider this list of the 100 greatest novels of all time.

My Nana

Friday, October 31st, 2003

My Nana died last night. It is an incredible relief. For the past five years or so, Nana has had dementia and not known who we are. She even at times would ask, when her husband would visit and he had died a number of years ago. For the past four days she has been […]

Hint to movie directors - stop filming during […]

Future butterfly gonna spend the day higher than high
You’ll be beautiful confusion

man of dinkum

Thursday, October 23rd, 2003

For some time here at signposts we have followed the example of George Bush in calling our prime minister the man of steel. Today we find out that “man of steel” is texan for fair dinkum.
I still prefer the Superman image.
