Yesterday I went looking at paint swatches for our new house which is due to settle in a couple of weeks. Somehow, even though we are moving in a whole bunch of furniture, changing something about the house (even if it is just the colour of the walls) makes it more ours.

Two of our congregations are worshipping together for a while - three weeks in a home and one week in a cafe. Tomorrow we meet for the first time together in a restaurant. We chose the restaurant because we drive past it often and it is always empty except for the owners. Perhaps not a good recommendation.

Have been studying a lot in the last couple of weeks, trying to finish two research papers which I have now finished. After all that it was kind of a relief to spend my Sunday morning in my normal routine - mowing the lawns, washing clothes, washing the car instead of studying. Mowing the lawns on Sunday always makes me feel guilty when the people going to the Catholic Church two doors down - I always want to explain that I go to church on Tuesday nights.

The church is completing a move in to a new building this week. Weirdly won’t have that much impact on me, although it will be a shorter drive to drop off phil on Sunday mornings.
