Franklin Graham

Last week, I had a visit from two of the promoters of the evangelicial conference featuring Billy Graham son - Frankin Graham. I must admit I didn’t know much about Franklin. But, naturally I have heard the stories of the Billy Graham crusades in Australia.

In a recent comment on signposts, alan mentioned that Franklin had been outspoken about his views on the Muslim faith. So, I did a bit of googling… This was one that came up:

Evangelist Franklin Graham is not backing away from his statements aired on a national news program that Islam is “wicked, violent and not of the same god.”

Graham initially made the remarks in an interview at the October dedication of a chapel in Wilkesboro, N.C.; the remarks were broadcast by NBC News Nov. 16.

“I don’t believe this is a wonderful, peaceful religion,” Graham said. “When you read the Koran and you read the verses from the Koran, it instructs the killing of the infidel, for those that are non-Muslim.”

Asked by NBC News to clarify his statement, Graham stood his ground.

“It wasn’t Methodists flying into those buildings, it wasn’t Lutherans,” Graham told NBC. “It was an attack on this country by people of the Islamic faith.”

I can even express some admiration (don’t faint) for President Bush for his statement in this article.

The wonderfully presented expensive color brochures advertising the event are now in my bin!

Bruce must be struggling cause he just personally attacked me, which he is feeling hypocritical about because he accused me of doing that to him. And then he is feeling a lack of integrity because he said he would respond to this anymore. And now he is struggling because he wants to respond again, but doesn’t know if he should or not!

    Its hard being bruce…

I mean except for the nice car, and house, and tv, and job, and, and, and
