Wordpress switch
Signposts has now switched to be powered by wordpress. We have not ironed out all the template and permalinks issues yet. But, we thought we would make the switch nevertheless now, due to all the problems we were having with our old configuration.
If you find an issue please email us at phil [at] signposts.org.au or dan [at] signposts.org.au

Hey, welcome to the fold of True Bloggers! WP rocks.
The default template, however, does not. I don’t know why it includes that CSS declaration that reduces the letter-spacing. That’d be my first recommendation.
If you’re brave, you can download the CVS (nightly build) at wordpress.org/nightly and use the style manager, which allows you to edit the appearance quickly. It only works properly in Firefox, though; they don’t iron out the IE bugs until more polished releases. I’m running WP on about ten sites now, so hit me up if anything seems odd. Best wishes.

Uh, I mean, removing the declaration that reduces the letterspacing would be my first recommendation. Don’t know why I said it wrong before. Narrow letterspacing is hard to read.

Kathy Kinsley is great at working out comment and trackback plug-ins for WP. http://bloghouse.net/index.php?p=18 . Very reasonable, too. Like $5-10 for a plug-in install.
