Stories of involvement in nccc - Geoff
1. What is it that you do at the warehouse?
It started off because I thought coming down here, people were volunteering giving their time and I thought how in the name of the farmer’s boy could an old fellar like me do anything? I don’t paint, not a carpenter, not a sparky, what can a retired minister of about 50 years standing do here? And I spoke to a fellar that I admire, young Ian, know him? He is fortunate enough to be in sunny Queensland I think. He said come down, we need to shift all the stuff that came in from the garage sale. The process finally started of trying to sort out, the good from the bad. The filthy to the clean etc. that’s what we are doing. It’s a positive act. It’ s good fun, hard work, it’s frustrating work but it’s all got to be done to get the stuff up, and if they get to much stuff, they start sending it back to me. Thank you to the people who come in to help us, we do appreciate them.
