Happy Birthday Jesus

I am sitting here trying to think of what I will say on Christmas day. For some reason, I find Christmas sermons harder to prepare than Easter. Why is that?

I wonder what insights I can learn from this conversation with a five year old today.

What is so special about Christmas Aislinn?
Well, it is Jesus birthday but we all get presents

    Hi

    I’m assuming it’s the same for everyone, but the site is very messed up in IE, (6), and shows only the main div in Firefox.

    Sorry if i’m stating the obvious, it was liek this yesterday as well, so I though I would mention it.

    Occassionally it happens when someone posts a long URL as the first line of their post. Wordpress tries to put it into the right hand column and it pushes it out over the main body text.

    why is it that God chooses the two classes of people considered least reliable by Jewish society (women and shepherds) to announce Jesus’ birth?

    These two groups were considered so lowly, they were barred from testifying in a court of law….yet used by God to announce the most momentous event in all history.

    Why is it so….??

    I’m sorry, I must be a bit out of touch with the current view on the Christmas thing. I thought it was shepherds and three wise men. Where did the women enter into it. Except, of course, that there was probably a witch(read midwife) at the birth since this was common practice at the time.
