   Well….I suppose I’d better be out with it now. Yes…I am Shaun Micallef. I’ve been playing this ‘Lance’ role since ‘that Channel 9 show’ got the arse..and heck…it’s tiring but..we’re working on a new telemovie called ‘Fred Nile’s underpants’. It’s a comedy-drama about the lengths gay people will go to NOT to get into Fred Nile’s underparts. We’re currently working with some special effects people down at Ripponlea who did the stunt scenes in Shitscared with the D-Gen….about how we can get a keep in the movie a shot of a gay man chewing his own arm off to get away from Fred Nile….without getting an M-15 rating..or worse…a glowing review from Ross Warneke in The Green Guide….the kiss of death.

   Anyway…I probably won’t have much time for the ‘Lance’ role….I’m in rehearsals with Glyn Nicholas for when the stage show starts in Perth at the end of the month………

   Oh..and for the movie…we’re tossing up between Dan Castellaneta and Alwyn Kurts for the ‘Homer’ role…… Alwyn is dead ..but we don’t see that as being a problem..because it will lend a certain ‘realism’ to the character that Dan might struggle with..

   Lance…if there’s a cameo with my character…can we get Rob Sitch to play it?

   And I still think Homer would be better portrayed as Shirty the Slightly Agressive Bear…

   Well…..Shirty would have been handy…and was on the wish-list..but Working Dog have got Shirty for a docu-drama Santo is working on about the last days of Mark Latham as Labor leader.

   Sitchy read through the script ..but didn’t want to be typecast as ’someone too clever’ (perish the thought)

   Grant Dodwell has said a tentative ‘yes’….we just need to see how his panto commitments on Phillip Island go.

   Well then you better go with Mel Gibson to play Homer…he’s conservative, he’s controversial….oh wait, he’s a catholic, that’s rules him out, he can’t be in the “elect”, I suppose.

   Maybe you could go with Charlie the wonder dog…..

   ….as for my cameo, maybe Keanu Reeves? Tall, dark, utters incomprehensible phrases in a dopey kind of way?

   Okay folks, suggest it might be time to take a break, have a cup of coffee, head off and comment on some other posts or other blogs. We like having good conversation on posts but this is degenerating at an alarming rate. Promise we’ll post some more meaty stuff in the next little while - both a bit busy at the moment.

    I was just waiting for it……..the blog operators moving to take the heat off Homer.

    For all its claims to be ‘different’ …the emerging church is just as protective of pharisees as any other ‘traditional’ church.

    The ‘emerging’ church enjoys the intellectual wank…..visiting around various different topics…but is completely unable to stay focussed in any particular specific area for any longer than a week or two..and that is why the ‘emerging’ church will and is failing….and has more blogs than churches.

    However…those who actually live 24/7 in the ‘missional groupings’ as it so patronisingly refers to us…..go on living in the ‘missional grouping’…while the ‘emerging church’ returns to the varieties of intellectual masturbation….spending no longer than 10 minutes tugging off over the latest ‘issue’ that comes to mind….before searching for their next piece of spiritual porn.

    I have followed most of these posts and…wow…
    Homer, I hope you see this…anyways, just want you to know that I think you rock. Thanks for acting so Christ-like and remaining calm and cool. Funny how some ppl can go on and on about tolerance but then obviously forget love, kindness, and courtesy. You’ve shown all the virtues of Galatians. Thankyou. I am inspired.
