The whole of life as a shopping experience - a shopping mindset has grabbed us. It will fix everything. Relationships are increasingly looking like searching for a better product. Drop this product and reach for the next one from the shelf. This is not just true for sexual relationships but also in friendships and in church connections. The Genx group have bought into this - I want to move into new circles of friends overseas… interstate.

The Gen X group have not been well enabled relationally full stop. Its part of our make up. And it makes missional relationships difficult when you fail to see a commitment to friendship returned at the same level. Many are happy to connect for important ‘moments’ of sharing and agreement, but tomorrow is another day …
