Is the purpose of the Church to return to the New Testament Church experience – no money, no buildings, under the radar, and with no influence

or….

Is it to be the people of God in the context and environment we have, with the resources that we have?

I don’t believe there needs to be a choice. Allowing that some of the comment on the N/T church is arguable, you can do both.

I am not a great believer in a denomination acquiring property so I don’t believe they should have such a portfolio.

Homer, why do you think denominations shouldn’t acquire property and does this extend to the local church too?

Paul, yeah I agree. I feel that this desire to rebuild the NT church is flawed somewhat if taken too far.

It isn’t part of what their goal is about.

When you say “their” do you mean the head office of the denomination or the denomination as a whole?
