Incarnational….sounds like you’ve been reading the same mission guide-book that I have been, talking about incarnational vs attractional. Guy does seem like a pretty cool..er..guy, I think he ranks more for his style and persona than his music per se.
The only time I’ve met Guy in person is at Hillsong, but also seen him at my girlfriend’s church when he was doing a concert. He’s considered good news by all us pentecostal types…

Yeah, I find the whole “did you know X is a Christian?” thing a bit weird - it’s like Christians need to be able to point to celebrities in order to validate their faith or something…”see, we’re cool, we really are!”
I like Australian Idol, and when I was younger I was a very serious muso, and my boyfriend who was a prof. muso was initially full of derision but has become a total Idol addict…there is some really crapola on there, but some great artists too. Guy was one of them - he’s got the whole package, he’s a performer through and through. BUT I wasn’t won over until I saw him on Rove - and Rove looked like a little school boy giggling over boobies as he asked Guy about his virginity - Guy came across as having a really solid head on his shoulders, and an ability to convey things in a culturally relevant way that took me by surprise.
That said, I did snigger when I saw Alive magazine with a photo of Guy with his hand punching the sky, and the headling “Guy Sebastien: Doing it for Jesus”…
…erm, no. He did THAT for Pepsi!

I think that the rev is actually a closet guy lover too - I mean Guy not guy - not that there’s anything wrong with that. Anyway I was talking to Guy jst then and he says to tell you to shut up rev

What Would Greg Do? About what Bec? - Hey that’d be a great thread - What Would [insert your own name] Do - and then we could list all the things we would do and why if we were God - So let it be written; So let it be done!

[…] This thread is about to reach 1000 comments. Wow. You do realise that this is why we are shunned by anyone with religious or political power. Anyway, when it does tick over to 4 digits, it seems a suitable time for us to cut off the comments on that post. We have been meaning to do this for a while simply because when a bunch of strangely addicted people reload the largest post on our site a hundred times a day, it makes our data usage go through the roof. And until you donate enough for us to be a part of the million club, this requires us to take unfair advantage of our generous hosting company. So as soon after reaching 1000 as we get around to it, we will be cutting off the comments and starting a new Hillsong thread for the conversation to start from the beginning again. […]

Thank the real God for Jennifer Sexton’s story. It is about time someone stood up and exposed the world wide scam call Pentacostal.
Look close and you will see every one of the “seven deadly sins” being flaunted and twisted to appear as if they are the gloden ways of life.
Pentacostal, the Devil watches and laughs.
