Call for ex-hillsongers

Got an email from a freelance writer who is doing a piece for GQ on Hillsong. Noting that we have a “Hillsong website”, he asked us to invite any ex-Hillsongers who are willing to share their stories (and I would imagine that it could be anonymous if you like) to contact him. Now I know that we have some ex-Hillsongers who read this site, so if you are interested, email him on joe.aston@bpol.com.au.

Hillsong has introduced a new section on its website called ‘Viewpoints’.

Here is Brian musing about industrial relations

    And about intelligent design

Hillsong also takes the opportunity to have another shot at The Australian..for daring to scratch beneath the surface of the Hillsong business.

No matter how many “they save”,how many attend the meetings or how often John Howard or Peter costello preach to the faithful or open their buildings,, if their cash deals are not transparent and accountable how can it be said they are a part of the kingdom!
Lance, note todays Australian report that the APRA(Australian Prudential Regulation Authority) is after them(and other “God banks” http://theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,17060329%5E2702,00.html ).

I don’t know if I’m ready to speak about it to anyone. The experience was horrible. THey made me listen to Guy Sebastian CDs and told me I wouldn’t get to heaven if I didn’t have a car worth more than $50K.

caz - It takes a $50K car to drive to heaven - do you honestly think a ford Taurus could make the trip - Have you any idea how far that is?

    Ford might be onto something.

The site could be used to advertise to all the ministers who are disgusted with the “houston economics” of the hillsong denomination, I mean, the assemiles of Got.
