signposts drinks

We are thinking of having a signposts readers drinks or even a meal in a local café or pub for those interested. Obviously, this will be held in Melbourne, Australia so it might be a little hard for some of our readers to come.

Would anyone be interested?

If any international or interstate readers would like to organise their own event that would be cool..

whatcha think? If we have enough takers we will start the organising..

OK then Canberians - where are we going to meet and when? Yes I have been on here - I am kinda getting settled. I have an actual job interview (as opposed to being interviewed by the Recruitment Agencies) today ;)

So when are you up here Bec?

Was good to put a few faces to names last night!! I thought Brian was good - there wasn’t really anything new in it for me, but it was good to go over the theological ground again, and I thought he was highly persuasive if there was anyone in the audience that needed convincing…he’s got that knack that Campolo has, of using the language of an audience in order to communicate things that are radical to that audience.

Good luck with the interview Janet :)

I’ll be up on 11/12 March, 8/9 April and maybe over Easter…

My husband has just been in Canberra for the last month, and while he was up there met a guy who has just moved to the area and is looking for some kind of cafe church or home church in the area. If someone up there is thinking of setting something like that up, or if there is anything, please let Phil know and he will pass on my email address to you.

For anyone still following this conversation, our own plans for annual leave have intervened. So we will be proposing drinks sometime in early April probably on a Wednesday night. We will let you know in due course.

    bec Says:

Hey Janet, sorry, weekend ended up being stupidly busy…and I’ve lost your email addy, so if you can email me again that would be good!

I’m dead keen to catch up with some Canberrans - after a few more conversations over the weekend, it strikes me that there’s the critical mass to get a new expression of community happening up there. I’d be dead keen to have a catch up with ppl who might be interested in exploring this more…???
