I saw Brian when he was here in NZ - had a bit of a chat as well. I msut say I`d give mim a B for discussing orthodoxy and an F for orthopraxy. He just doesnt seem to know how to communicate orthopraxy in our culture - or doesnt want to do it in case someone disagreed wiht him or got offended

McLarn seems to be making a strong stereotype of the modern era. The same type of stereotype that has been made of him. I don’t know the whole story on this quote but I’d love to be filled in.

I read Chapter 0 of McLaren’s “A generous orthodoxy” and it strikes me as so weird-arrogant that I can’t imagine why anyone would push through it to Chapter 1.
