Hillsong - the sequel
This thread is about to reach 1000 comments. Wow. You do realise that this is why we are shunned by anyone with religious or political power. Anyway, when it does tick over to 4 digits, it seems a suitable time for us to cut off the comments on that post. We have been meaning to do this for a while simply because when a bunch of strangely addicted people reload the largest post on our site a hundred times a day, it makes our data usage go through the roof. And until you donate enough for us to be a part of the million club, this requires us to take unfair advantage of our generous hosting company. So as soon after reaching 1000 as we get around to it, we will be cutting off the comments and starting a new Hillsong thread for the conversation to start from the beginning again.
Censorship is alive and well on the interweb. So the challenge for you investigative types is to come up with something generally new and interesting in this discussion let us know and we will use it to kick off the new thread.

I’ll probably just create a new blogger blog…and post them there…..or post them on an existing blog that I haven’t touched for a while.

sounds fantastic — stick them up on a site together, and just notify us when another one goes up. then interested people can be referred to the site ..
Thank you so much for doing this — revealing dodgy teachers for what they are by the words of their own mouths is a really valuable thing to do. These things must be brought into the light

I’m also working on a ’secret project’ related to Hill$ong….and now is probably the time to launch it…in conjunction with the transcribed sermons….so that’s why I’m being a bit cagey about where it’s all going to be posted.

Cool! I’m sure it will all make perfect sense in due course ..

re #112 Fantastic - the nagging has paid off
Seriously, like others have said, transcribing what these guys actually say is far more powerful than any argument - thanks so much Lance.
August 28th, 2006 at 11:46 pm
Well I am just going to take my arguments and go home.

Oh don’t spit the dummy Lionfish!!! You are just as valuable
August 29th, 2006 at 7:26 am
…….but often the clincher for the argument is hearing what these guys teach in their own words…..so we need both of you.
Ok - I rephrase -Lance, your transcriptions & Lionfish, your arguments are EQUALLY needed to shed light in these times of dodgy teaching, finances & leadership practises.

Grace Required, I was a bit surprised as well - I couldn’t see a tag for Aus$ on their drop down list so I did an exchange value from Aus$ to Euros (Aus 47k became about 27k Euro) unless I typed something in wrong there musn’t be very many people earning more than 47k around the world!
