Pardon ignorance, but where’s that blob in the middle of Australia, exactly? Cooper Pedy?
August 18th, 2006 at 10:14 pm
I think it might be Uluru ….
The dot is too far south and west to be Alice Springs..and too far north to be in South Australia.
August 18th, 2006 at 10:18 pm
Or Yulara to be exact.

Signposts seems to be catching on in the USA - and who is on here from Capetown SA - or there about?
August 19th, 2006 at 8:58 am
I’m pouring over my antiquated Jacaranda Atlas (my year 7 geography textbook!) and can’t find Yulara… or anything much at all from the outback spot.
Can you ‘fess up, oh outback Signposter(s)? Where are you exactly?
I’m from Melbourne… currently cold, windy and grey outside.

Wikipedia says the Yulara resort was created near Uluru in 1984 to cater for tourism at the rock…because the existing arrangements for tourists were buggering up the local environment.
So it wouldn’t be on your school atlas.

Thanks Lance.
Preoccupied by trivia as I am, where are our African friends from, exactly? Mozambique? Ivory Coast?
I really need a new atlas. (Mine is so old Uluru was still “Ayers Rock”.)
I wish the cluster map was more “zoom-in-able”. Still, this is very cool… thanks for putting this on!

It’s official..Signposts is a hit in Sydney.
Must be all that naughty Hill$ong and Christian City Church talk.

This may distress some people….but if you look at the latest map….the red dots over the US and Canada are in the shape of the Christian fish symbol on vehicle bumper bars.

That could be a shark - you know how we Americans are.
