holy water and jesus ties
Well commenter jane certainly knows my love for Christian kitsch and has passed on this link for all your cross/crucifix/fish needs with the extra bonus that they include a little phial of holy water for that extra spiritual oomph. I remember once having a conversation with a girlfriend who was sharing her theory that her style of evangelism was to create a non-threatening relationship where people could talk to her about faith. One thing that helped was the fact that she wore a cross, and particularly, she said, it was good that it was a nice tasteful cross and not one of those clunky celtic market-bought things. One of which I happened to be wearing at the time. But I must point these cross/holy water beauties out to her. I don’t have a good reaction to this simply because most of the time you hear of people wearing a phial of fluid around their neck then it is goths (or angelina jolie) wearing a phial of blood. Actually, that would totally be cool and fitting in this circumstance. Where would one go about getting a few ccs of the saviour’s blood?
Oh, and while we are on the subject of Christian kitsch, I am so getting one of these for Phil, I just have to choose which one. Via the good people at the spin starts here.

I think I might buy one of those crosses and fill the vial with blood, how cool would that be? The question is who’s blood? Being that Jesus’ had his blood taken involuntarily I am thinking this will be neccesary.
I think I might steal some blood from Phil, cause he is so much like Jesus, and would forgive me.
Hope I don’t get any on his new tie.
