Creative Minister – Northern Community Church of Christ
Northern Community is a regional church with a mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the northern suburbs of Melbourne through a range of congregations and missional teams.
We are seeking a person to join our ministry team two days a week to focus on creative worship at two Sunday congregations.
One congregation includes mostly seniors with a blend of young families and others. The second has a focus on 40s to 60s with an interest in meditation.
The role includes planning and leading worship in traditional, contemporary and contemplative styles, preaching and teaching, overseeing a children’s ministry, and discipling other leaders.
The role would suit someone who appreciates a range of worship expressions, and has the appropriate pastoral, theological and communication skills. Musicianship would also be a plus.
There is a possibility of extending the role to four days a week, with participation in our mission with unemployed people.
