ghostaction a gtd application

If you use a mac and you are a GTD addict like me, then it might be worth checking out Ghost Action.

Ghost Action is a clean and simple GTD application that prioritises seamless syncing with iCal (and therefore PDAs as well). Users can add and assign tasks into Projects and Contexts. When syncing the Contexts become different calendars in iCal and the Project names are appended to the name of the task in brackets [like this].

There is a reasonable degree of control over how tasks are able to be viewed. You can filter them by Context, Project or just look at all Actions. It is possible to sort by multiple columns and you can toggle whether you wish to see completed actions or action due right now very easily.

The preferences are very simple. They allow you to change when the syncing between Ghost Action and iCal occurs and whether or not to display a confirmation message. You can also choose whether you wish to run the final release, beta versions or testing versions as well as reregister with sync services if you think that’s a good idea.

Ghost Action’s interface is a pretty standard Brushed Metal OSX look with a very handy mini calendar for use when adding due dates.

If you use GTD or just like to keep yourself organised then Ghost Action is great tool to use. It’s free from the complications and bugs of applications such as kGTD or Inbox, but does the simple core functions very well.
