The people formerly known as “the pastor”
Lance linked this up in another thread but I thought it worthy of its own discussion place. Thank Lance for the heads up!
“The People Formerly Known As The Pastor discovered somewhere in “doing church” that they were being paid as surrogates for the congregation’s spirituality.”
“The People Formerly Known As The Pastor wrestled with conflicting ego issues.”
“The People Formerly Known As The Pastor ran up school bills, too, going to college and seminary.”
“The People Formerly Known As The Pastor loved the idea of spiritual gifts and gift inventory tools.”
“The People Formerly Known As The Pastor were angry people.:
“The People Formerly Known As The Pastor began to smell something rotting in the whole “church” thing.”
“The People Formerly Known As The Pastor are still serving in the places once populated by The People Formerly Known As The Congregation.”
Read the whole post here from jesus the radical pastor.

I’ve been a Signposts lurker for a long time. I do love this site. And it helped to inform my post that triggered John Frye’s.
To that end, please also check out: The People Formerly Known as the Congregation. As well as the responses from Emerging Grace and Jamie Arpin-Ricci.
Thanks.

Hi All,
I too am a Signposts lurker! I find the blog uplifting and encouraging in that people do question the complex facits of thier faith and/or their problems with the modern church!
Keep the watch!
