signposters

There has been some discussion about the map that is displayed in our sidebar.

Locations of visitors to this page

It is a map that shows the hits on signposts from around the world. We need to remember when looking at a map like this, that it also will include those who come through google searches. So, not all these hits will represent actual signpost readers.

Our blog has some regular commenters that comment more regularly than Dan or I. Yet, there are also a lot of irregular commenters or those who just lurk around. I am always amused when I am somewhere and someone will come up and introduce themselves as a reader of signposts, and I didn’t even know that they visited.

So, to help Dan and me pass the time on our holidays, I thought I would run a series of polls on signposts to help us understand those that comment, or lurk around on signposts, or signposters as they are sometimes called.

The polls will be anonymous of course, so if you lurk your identity will still be protected. I have set up a poll archive page, that will list all previous polls as we get going.

The first poll has to do with connection with Church

Do you attend a local church?

In anycase the success or not of Signposts is not really about the numbers of people who read it…is it? Becauase if it is we can;t continue to argue that just because Hill$ong get’s large number of people through the doors it doesn;t mean they are any good!

    phil Says:

For sure Greg. Although I am still interested in the make up of the signposts readers.

    Greg the explorer Says:

Absolutley - I think it is important to know the following about Signposters make up:

    1. How often they wear it
    2. Will they be wearing it at church or onbly at work
    3. Do they wear expensive brands or fair trade make up

I think the same set of questions should be asked of the girls who wear make up as well!

This will be much better than that lame NCLS thing.

NCLS:”In how many ways is your church completely wonderful?”

Pastor:” Funny you should ask…well..there’s …”

    Do you believe in:

    Alien Abduction

    or something along those lines,

Why do you look at (or post on) Signposts would be an interesting question, although it doesn’t lend itself to a tick the box survey.

“D. It’s like horror movie…when Lance and Homer start, I just can’t help but wait to see what happens next”

I was hoping that if I left him alone for awhile he’d go away..and it seemed to work for a few weeks…but…

    Toddy Says:

Janet, perhaps Greek & Hebrew scholars among the group could start us on those alphabets… seems appropriate!
